Designer

People Can Fly is looking for a Designer. This person will be responsible for focusing on game mechanics and maintaining global gameplay balance, proactively identifying workflow issues and offering solutions, imagining, envisioning and devising new approaches, concepts, models, designs and processes, collection and processing of player data and feedback to inform project-wide decisions, working with the Game Director to support the creative vision, long-term design goals, and maintain the quality of the game’s design and content, working with producer to determine tasks and schedules and collaborating on game design documentation, writing proposals and final docs for all aspects of the game’s design.

 

Qualifications

Able to communicate and lead with well written and constructed design documentation, and on one to one situations.

Excellent theoretical knowledge of game design practices.

An in depth understanding of major elements of game design.

The ability to communicate well across disciplines; excellent verbal and written skills.

Strong problem solving and trouble-shooting skills.

Excellent creativity and demonstrated ability to generate innovative concepts, mechanics and ideas.

Demonstrable success in creating compelling and fun game play, scenarios and encounters.

Self-motivated, hard worker with a team-focused attitude and ability to both give and take feedback and criticisms.

Experience designing multiplayer and/or single player gameplay

Ability to think outside the box to come up with more efficient techniques

High work ethic and self motivated

Passion for Games

 

Preference to applicants with

Experience working (rapid prototyping) with Unreal Engine is a plus

A strong familiarity with online mode and matchmaking design as they apply to console gaming is a plus

Senior Asset Artist

People Can Fly is looking for an Senior Asset Artist. This person will be responsible for constructing aesthetically groundbreaking environments that match engrossing and rich gameplay experiences.

 

Qualifications

Experience in all aspects model creation workflow (Model and texture realistic, modular, hard-surface and organic set pieces and props for a diverse set of environments with use of all new techniques)

Experience with industry-standard software packages for 3D modeling, highpoly sculpting, and texture painting (Maya, Max, ZBrush, Photoshop, or their equivalents)

Ability to think outside the box to come up with more efficient techniques

High work ethic and self-motivated

Passion for Games

 

Preference to applicants with

Experience creating photorealistic set pieces, props, textures, and materials on next gen console platforms.

Ability to show examples of top notch props and textures made for next gen console games.

Skilled at balancing art quality and performance in the game engine

Experience working with Unreal Engine is a plus

Shader programming experience is a plus
