Lead Asset Artist

People Can Fly is looking for a Lead Asset Artist. We expect you to lead the team of 12 asset artists and deliver a top quality models by yourself.

 

This person will be responsible for:

Managing a team of artists, keeping the team on track and motivated

Creating top notch 3d assets along with environment textures and parts of game environments

Facilitating communication, providing feedback (incl. Technical Art Director, Art Director and Creative Director) and solving technical challenges

Cooperating with different people from different departments to achieve a coherent look and feel for the whole game that assets are used in

Developing new techniques that push the quality and performances we can achieve

Working with graphics programmers and technical artists to support the development of new systems and techniques

Providing artistic and technical feedback to external partners

Working with production team on tasks assignment and a team schedule

 

Qualifications:

5+ years of experience in developing assets models as a Senior Asset Artist or Lead Asset Artist

Shipped game title experience (credits in at least 3 AAA titles as at least an Asset Artist)

Lead by example and hands-on style of management

Leadership skills and ability to schedule a team

Full understanding of the asset art pipeline and to work with other departments to create efficiencies

Ability to create photorealistic set pieces, props, textures, and materials on next gen console platforms

Ability to adapt to, and innovate, new styles and techniques

Very good knowledge of industry-standard software packages for 3D modeling, highpoly sculpting, and texture painting (Maya, Max, ZBrush, Photoshop, or their equivalents)

Shader programming experience and working with Unreal Engine is a plus

High work ethic and self-motivated

Passion for Games

English and/or Polish language skills (everyone in our studio speaks English, but Polish language skills are a plus)

Recruitment Manager

We are looking for experienced and professional Recruitment Manager to join our team. This person will be responsible for managing our recruitment to ensure we hire qualified employees to meet our company’s current and future needs. Ultimately a Recruitment Manager will design and oversee our company’s hiring in Warsaw, Rzeszów and Newcastle studios. This person will report to Head of HR. All recruiters in the UK and Poland will report to this person.

 

Responsibilities:

Planning recruitment strategy for each position and execute it

Planning and coordinating recruitment activities

Coordinating with team leaders to forecast future hiring needs

Cooperating with external recruitment companies

Sourcing, attracting and hiring job candidates for open positions

Conducting the recruitment processes, preparing job descriptions, conducting meetings, managing the database of candidates, preparing reports on candidate profiles

Supporting and guiding candidates through the recruiting process, ensuring efficiency in scheduling, timely feedback

Cooperating with external recruitment companies

Project management for recruitment related initiatives

Participating in job fairs and career events

 

Qualifications:

Minimum 5 years of experience in recruitment

Have proven and successful experience in recruiting qualified candidates in IT

Excellent understanding of recruitment processes

Experience in working in a partnership model with vendors and headhunters

Strong knowledge of recruitment practices, metrics, and guidelines

Experience in conducting initial screening of CVs and interviews for a wide range of positions

Good interpersonal, presentation and communication skills

Good time-management skills

Fluent English and Polish (both written and spoken)

 

Preference to applicants with

Experience in recruiting and relocating candidates from outside of Poland

Previous game dev experience

Passion for games
